Living in Hawaii has completely changed the way I start my day.
Instead of rushing, I’ve learned to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the calm energy of the island.
Here’s a little peek into my real-life morning routine that helps me stay centered, energized, and glowing.
6:30–7:00am – Wake Up and Refresh
I’m not a morning person by nature, but Hawaii’s gentle morning light makes it easier to rise.
After waking up, the first thing I do is wash my face and apply a simple moisturizer to refresh my skin.
That little bit of cool water and hydration helps me feel awake and clean—ready to take on the day.
7:15am – Mushroom Coffee & Sky Time
I love starting my morning with a warm cup of mushroom coffee.

It gives me a gentle boost of energy without the jitters of regular coffee.
I usually sit quietly, sipping my drink while looking up at the morning sky.
It’s a simple moment, but it really sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Just me, the sky, and the sound of Hawaii waking up.
8:00am – Gentle Yoga & Meditation
Around 8:00, I do a short yoga session—about 20 minutes—just to move my body and connect with my breath.
It’s usually something light and flowy, nothing too intense.

After yoga, I take 10 minutes to sit in quiet meditation, focusing on my breath and setting an intention for the day.
This time helps me feel grounded and mentally clear.
8:30am – Makeup & Getting Ready for Work
After movement and mindfulness, it’s time to get ready for the day.
I keep my makeup routine pretty simple—just enough to feel fresh and polished before heading to the salon.
Why I Love My Island Mornings
This routine might seem small, but it really makes a difference.
Taking time for my skin, body, and mind helps me show up with more energy, creativity, and joy—whether I’m styling hair or snorkeling after work.

Do you have a morning ritual that helps you feel centered?
I’d love to hear about it—share it in the comments!
