I’m so excited—I’m heading to Japan soon for a little getaway, and I’ll be visiting both Osaka and Okayama! It’s been a while since I’ve explored these areas, and I can’t wait to eat all the delicious food, see beautiful places, and enjoy some slow travel moments. Here’s a look at what I’m planning for this trip!
Where I’m Going
First Stop: Osaka
I’ll be spending a few days in Osaka, one of my favorite cities in Japan. It’s fun, lively, and full of great food.

Next Stop: Okayama
After that, I’ll head to Okayama—a place with a slower pace and rich cultural spots. I’m excited for the nature, the history, and some peaceful time away from the crowds.

Places I Want to Visit
In Osaka:
Dotonbori – Bright lights, street food, and city vibes Osaka Castle – A classic must-see Kuromon Market – For fresh snacks and local flavors Cafés in Namba or Umeda – Still looking for hidden gems!
In Okayama:
Korakuen Garden – One of Japan’s three most beautiful gardens Okayama Castle – Known as the “Crow Castle” for its black exterior Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter – Traditional architecture, canals, and cozy cafes
What I Can’t Wait to Eat
Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki in Osaka Kibi dango (sweet mochi dumplings) in Okayama Matcha parfaits or seasonal Japanese sweets And of course… random snacks from convenience stores!

What I’m Packing
It’s spring, so I’m bringing layers—light sweaters, a jacket, and comfortable shoes for walking. I’m also packing my skincare essentials to protect my skin from dry train rides and changing weather!

Final Thoughts
This trip feels like the perfect mix—city energy in Osaka and peaceful beauty in Okayama. I’ll definitely share updates on my blog and Instagram, so follow along! And if you’ve been to either place and have recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
