If you love food, coffee, and exploring local neighborhoods, Namba is the place to be in Osaka! I recently spent a few days here and wanted to share my foodie highlights and cozy café stops—plus where I stayed and how I stayed connected with an eSIM while traveling in Japan.
Day 1 – Street Food & Dotonbori Vibes
Takoyaki at Kukuru
Location: Dotonbori
I kicked off my trip with Osaka’s most iconic snack—takoyaki! This shop had a long line, but it moved fast. The takoyaki was crispy outside, gooey inside, with big chunks of octopus. So good!

Night Walk in Dotonbori
The lights, the energy, the giant crab sign—you have to see it at night. It’s the ultimate Osaka experience.

Day 2 – Savory Bites & Coffee Breaks
Okonomiyaki at Fukutaro
Location: 5-min walk from Namba Station
This was one of my favorite meals—freshly made right in front of me! I had pork and cheese okonomiyaki, topped with sweet sauce and bonito flakes dancing on top.

Café Stop: LiLo Coffee Roasters
This small café has serious coffee vibes. I picked a fruity Ethiopia roast, and the barista was super friendly. Perfect mid-day break.

Day 3 – Shopping & Chill
Kushikatsu at Daruma
Location: Namba Walk
Quick and casual lunch! Everything was deep-fried and amazing—shrimp, onion, mochi. Remember: one dip in the sauce only!

Café Stop: Brooklyn Roasting Company (Namba Parks)
Big, comfy café with great Wi-Fi and a cool vibe. I got an iced oat latte and chilled for a while before heading out to shop.

Where I Stayed: My Cozy Airbnb in Namba

I stayed in a stylish Airbnb just a few minutes from Namba Station. Super convenient, with everything I needed—washer, kitchen, and even a tiny balcony!
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Osaka, I totally recommend checking out Airbnb.

Travel Tip: Stay Connected with eSIM
For this trip, I used an eSIM from Holafly and it worked perfectly throughout Japan. No need to pick up a SIM card or worry about roaming. I just scanned a QR code and was online in minutes.
