Intro:
Taipei was the perfect place for a relaxed, family girls’ trip!✨
Here’s a little recap of where we went, what we ate, and the must-visit spots we absolutely loved. If you’re planning a family trip, a girls’ getaway, or just want some slow-travel ideas, I hope this guide helps you!
📍 Day 1: Ningxia Night Market – Night Stroll & Food Adventures
After checking into our hotel, we took it easy and headed to Ningxia Night Market nearby.
We wandered through all the food stalls and tried Taiwan classics like lu rou fan (braised pork rice) and papaya milk — simple but so good!

📍 Day 2: Taipei 101 Observatory & Din Tai Fung
This was my mom’s top request!
We visited the Taipei 101 Observatory for a panoramic view of the city — the views were absolutely stunning.
Afterward, we went to Din Tai Fung for their famous xiaolongbao, and surprisingly, the sesame balls there totally stole the show for us!

📍 Day 2 (afternoon): Strolling Around Yongkang Street
After lunch, we headed to Yongkang Street, a cute area full of stylish cafés and shops.
We took our time exploring little boutiques and stopped for coffee breaks.
Perfect for a chill afternoon!

📍 Day 2 (evening): Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
Before sunset, we visited Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
It was beautiful to walk around during golden hour — the big open plaza and impressive architecture made it feel extra special.

📍 Day 3: Shifen Sky Lanterns & Jiufen Old Street
We took an Uber to Shifen and launched a sky lantern, writing wishes for health and happiness for our whole family. (Of course, we included everyone’s names!)
After that, we continued to Jiufen, exploring the charming streets that felt like stepping into a Ghibli movie world. It was magical!

📍 Day 4: Souvenir Shopping & First Time Hot Pot Experience
On our last day, we went shopping for souvenirs like pineapple cakes, and for lunch, we had herbal hot pot at Wu Lao Guo — it was my first time trying medicinal hot pot, and it was so flavorful!

✨ Final Thoughts
Traveling with my mom and sister made this Taipei trip so much more special.
The mix of sightseeing, food adventures, and chill moments made it the perfect girls’ getaway.
If you’re planning a trip to Taipei, I highly recommend a relaxed, slow-travel style to really enjoy the vibe of the city!
