Mount Shasta is known as one of the most powerful “energy vortex” spots in the world. Some people claim it’s a sacred place full of spiritual power and healing energy. Others say it’s just a beautiful mountain. I wasn’t sure what to expect — but I was curious.
To be honest, I’m not on either side. I’m not someone who fully believes in energy fields and spiritual portals… but I also don’t totally dismiss them. I went in with an open mind, and here’s what I actually experienced.

🧭 What Is an Energy Vortex?
Before visiting, I kept hearing the word “vortex” over and over. It’s said that these are areas on Earth with especially intense spiritual energy — often tied to nature, healing, or transformation.
Mount Shasta is considered one of the top 7 vortexes in the world, along with places like Sedona, Arizona, and Machu Picchu. People come here to meditate, connect with nature, and “feel” the mountain’s power.
🌲 Arriving in Shasta
When we arrived, I immediately noticed how calm everything felt. The town is quiet, the air is crisp, and the view of the mountain is breathtaking.
We didn’t do any formal spiritual tours or guided energy walks — we just explored.
I visited places like:
- Sisson Meadow for a slow walk and mountain views
- Lake Siskiyou for a peaceful moment by the water
- Mossbrae Falls, hidden in the trees and full of misty magic
At each spot, I felt unusually grounded and calm. Like my body had shifted gears into a slower rhythm.

🧘♀️ So… Did I Feel the Energy?
I didn’t feel anything dramatic — no lightning bolts of awakening or sudden clarity. But I did feel good. Calm. Connected. Like nature was holding me gently.
Maybe it was the fresh mountain air, the sound of waterfalls, or the fact that I was offline and present. But something about Shasta made me breathe differently. Slower. Deeper.
It reminded me that you don’t have to “believe” in anything to receive the benefits of being in nature.
📝 Final Thoughts
Whether you believe in energy vortexes or not, Mount Shasta is absolutely worth visiting. You can make it spiritual, adventurous, relaxing — or all of the above.
As for me? I’m still not sure what exactly I felt. But I know that I left lighter than I arrived. And honestly, that’s enough.
Sometimes just being in the right place at the right pace can feel like magic.
