Sapporo Photo Diary – Day 4: Coffee, Campus Walks, and Goodbye Hokkaido

Flight: 8:40 PM from New Chitose Airport

My final day in Sapporo was all about taking it slow — with one last great coffee, a quiet campus walk, and time to reflect on the trip. It was the perfect soft landing before heading home.

☕ Morning at Baristart Coffee

I started the day at Baristart Coffee, famous for their rich milk-based lattes. The shop was small, stylish, and full of cozy vibes.

🌳 Strolling Hokkaido University

After coffee, I revisited Hokkaido University — this time in the daylight. The tree-lined paths, green lawns, and historical buildings made for a peaceful morning walk.

🛍️ Last-Minute Shopping at Sapporo Station

I headed to Sapporo Station and nearby shops for final souvenir hunting. I picked up:

  • Royce chocolates
  • Kinotoya cheesecakes
  • Shiroi Koibito cookies

🧳 Packing & Relaxing

Back at my Airbnb, I took time to organize my suitcase, write in my journal, and take one last look out the window. No rushing — just enjoying the quiet.

🚃 Heading to New Chitose Airport

Around 4:30 PM, I took the JR train to New Chitose Airport. It was easy and on time, as expected.

🍱 Dinner & Airport Time

Before boarding, I grabbed dinner at the airport — a quick bento and miso soup. I also browsed a few more shops (couldn’t resist).

✈️ Final Reflections

This trip reminded me how easy it is to feel calm and full at the same time in Hokkaido. Between the fresh air, cozy cafés, and scenic walks, Sapporo left me inspired and rested.

📌 Tip: Give yourself at least 3 hours before departure at New Chitose — there’s plenty to eat, shop, and enjoy before your flight.
